Surrounded by beautiful cottage gardens typical of the area, you’ll enjoy spacious private rooms with ensuites, televisions, Foxtel, Wi-Fi and air conditioning.

With an onsite coffee shop and a variety of recreation activities you’ll never want for company. Our elegant interior designed living areas are the perfect place to relax with a cup of tea and a good book. As well as an in-house cinema space, there is a hair and beauty salon, library, computer space and a chapel. The lifestyle program includes something to suit everyone, with daily activities from bus outings, live entertainment, art classes, exercise classes, card games and theme days. Life at Wahroonga House will be as busy or relaxing as you like. From the simple pleasures of a stroll through beautifully landscaped gardens, to unwinding at the onsite hair and beauty salon, each day will bring just what you want. Residents have access to the home’s physiotherapist and exercise classes, as well as specialised pain management massage and a complimentary aromatherapy program.

We consider a resident’s family to be part of the team when it comes to decisions and all aspects of care. Our regular events and special function days will allow residents to invite family and friends to socialise. Of course, there is always the opportunity to meet a loved one in the coffee shop, or share a quiet afternoon tea in your room.

Wahroonga House offers restaurant-style dining. Relax with a glass of wine as the resident chef prepares a seasonal menu, each day offering comforting favourites with a choice of main meals. Meals will be served in one of our well-appointed dining rooms, or in your own room if required.

We take pride in our well-educated staff – not just their formal qualifications, but what they learn every day when they come to work. Thompson Health Care is dedicated in our duty to continually educate our staff so our residents and their families can feel secure in the knowledge they are receiving the best care. Every year our staff further their training and qualifications through studies at universities, TAFE NSW, as well as online and workplace activities. We choose staff not just for their experience, but also for their commitment and passion in Aged Care. There is 24-hour Registered Nurse care, with a team of professional and dedicated staff to ensure your new home provides the comfort
and wellbeing you deserve.

We offer individually tailored care that will evolve as your needs change. General Practitioner services are available or your own doctor may visit at any time. Palliative, respite and dementia care are all available. The dementia unit at Wahroonga House will offer specialist care in a calm and safe environment. Like the rest of our home, residents will enjoy the luxury of private ensuite rooms as well as a specialised dementia dining room and nightly massage therapy.

Life at Wahroonga House means you can relax and enjoy family, friends and the activities you love, while we take care of life’s little details.
